Healthcare professionals play a crucial role in the care of pediatric patients affected by violence, which includes physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect. Violence towards children is prevalent, affecting 1 in 4 children in their lifetime. It is critical that clinicians are competent and comfortable providing trauma informed care to this population.
